Castanhares
Procedure for patients with rhytids (wrinkles) quite marked on the forehead, in which is resected a skin portion above the eyebrow in order to rise it. The goal is to cause periocular rejuvenation, being carried out usually in conjunction with blepharoplasty.
The resulting scars are well concealed in existing wrinkles, which tends to become inconspicuous over time.
It is performed under local anesthesia with sedation, eliminating prolonged hospital stays. The patient usually remains in the recovery room for four hours and is discharged after that.
Normally the recovery is quick with reduced edema (swelling) located around the eyes. The patient can resume normal activities in about 7, but to exercise a longer period is needed.
No need for the use of dressings, either drains.
