Tissue Tightening Technology
Renuvion represents an evolution in the application of heat to tissues, providing a level of control never before achieved through minimally invasive methods. The device is inserted beneath the skin and activated in a retrograde manner: as it advances through the tissues, helium plasma is activated, delivering heat through two simultaneous mechanisms — direct plasma contact and the flow of radiofrequency energy transmitted into the surrounding tissues.
During treatment, most of the energy is directed toward the network of fibrous septa, maximizing tissue contraction. This technology rapidly reaches the subdermal layers, producing significant heat-induced tightening while minimizing thermal diffusion to the skin surface.
Immediate collagen contraction is a direct result of this precise thermal control. Long-term effects continue to develop over 6 to 9 months, as the body progresses through the healing process and new collagen formation occurs. On average, Renuvion contributes to 20% to 30% tissue contraction, depending on the treatment area and the quality of the existing collagen.
